One of the best-known structures in the world, Agra’s fabled Taj Mahal will awe your senses and forever capture your heart. Considered to be the finest example of Mughal architecture, the Taj Mahal is a glistening mass of white marble and semi-precious stones set amid impeccably landscaped grounds.You’ll also explore the magnificent Agra Fort, also a UNESCO World Heritage Site. More akin to a walled city than a fortress, the citadel stands in its full glory, a symbol of the power, strength, and resilience of the Mughal Empire.
Day 1 – KOCHI-DELHI: After disembarking your ship, you’ll be met by your tour guide at the gangway, who’ll accompany you from the pier to airport. Arrive at the airport and check-in for your flight to Delhi. Upon arrival in Delhi, you’ll enjoy a scenic transfer to a 5-star hotel. After check-in you’ll enjoy a delicious dinner.
Day 2 – DELHI-AGRA-DELHI: Enjoy breakfast at your hotel before setting off on an early morning train ride through the scenic Indian countryside to discover the jewels of India: the iconic Taj Mahal and Agra Fort.
First, you’ll visit the magnificent The Taj Mahal, with its lacy white grandeur, is one of the world’s most recognized monuments. In memory of his wife, the great Mughal emperor Shah Jehan planned this extravagant and incomparable monument, built for love. Amazingly graceful from any angle, the monument is even more astounding close up, where the fine details can truly be appreciated.
After visiting the Taj Mahal, you’ll continue to its sister structure, the Agra Fort. Founded by the Mughal Emperor Akbar in 1565 AD, the fort is predominantly made of red sand stone and encompasses the imperial city of Mogul rulers. The vast halls echo the voices of a bygone era and will transport you back through the passage of time. Admire the array of whimsical structures ensconced within the citadel, including the magnificent palaces of Khas Mahal and Shish Mahal, and the spectacular white marble mosques of Moti Masjid (Pearl Mosque) and Nagina Masjid.
Following your tour of Agra Fort, you’ll return to the hotel for lunch before enjoying leisure time at a local markets. After, you’ll board the car and head back to Delhi along the New Yammuna Expressway. Dinner will be served at your hotel.
Day 3 – DELHI-GOA: After breakfast at your hotel, you’ll check-out and head to Delhi Airport for your flight to Goa. You’ll be met by your tour guide, who’ll escort you to back to the ship.
Expected Weather:
Days are sunny and comfortable with temperatures between 73-77 degrees F (23 to 25ºC). The evenings are pleasant with temperatures in the upper 50’s F (13 to 15 ºC). Temperatures drop as the night progresses.
What to Bring:
Casual wear for the day. Please bring a sweater or jacket for the early mornings and evenings. Also, important is sun block, hat, shades and comfortable walking shoes. As the Taj Mahal is also a mausoleum, certain religious customs must be observed. As a token of respect, it is customary to remove your footwear before entering. Ladies should avoid wearing tank tops or any top with thin straps as well as short shorts. Knee-length shorts are acceptable for men and women.

Indian Rupee, available in denominations of 5, 10, 50, 100, 500 and 2000.

220 – 240 volts. We recommend bringing a travel adaptor kit for electrical devices.
Luggage:
Light luggage is recommended for this trip. A maximum of one suitcase per person and one carry-on (max 7kg / 15 lbs) is allowed. Your suitcase must not weigh more than 15kg (33lbs.) due to flight restrictions. If your luggage exceeds this allowance, it will be subject to the fees imposed by the airline – payable at the airport during check in.
