First Day – Cochin city tour with Kathakali Dance Show

“Cochin city tour with Kathakali Dance Show ” is a privately conducted day tour which cover the most important attractions in and around Fort Cochin along with City Tour Starts with Pick up from Cochin port and transfer to Fort Cochin ,. Fort Cochin showcases historic buildings and Kublai Khan-influenced Chinese fishing nets. Stroll Jew Town’s eclectic shops; see Church of St. Francis; Santa Cruz Cathedral; and two-story Mattancherry or “Dutch Palace.” Tour duration is approximately between 6 – 7 hours .Tour will be a Guided type and a English speaking guide will be with you through the tour for explaining the history about the attractions . After the lunch we will have Kathakali Dance Show (2 Hours)

Kathakali Dance – Watch traditional Indian dance theatre at the Kathakali Dance Show in Cochin. See stories of the Indian epics acted out in this traditional show, where dancers tell stories to music using animated expressions.

The classical dance of Kerala, Kathakali means “story play.” It is a unique blend of dance, music and acting, and it tells stories from the Indian epics. It is a stylized art form where dancer wears a painted face and mimes using animated hand gestures and facial expressions.

Second Day – Backwater cruise on Houseboat

Explore the famous Kerala backwaters of Alleppey on board a traditional houseboat.

Following a pick-up from Cochin Port at 08:30, transfer to Aleppey to board your houseboat at 10:00. Cruise slowly through the backwaters and village areas to marvel at the lush vegetation, paddy fields, coconut palms, and more. There will be 3 staff members to look after you and make sure your experience is as relaxed as you could wish for.

Enjoy a lunch of Keralan cusine as you gently cruise, ending at approximately 13:30 for the transfer back to Cochin Port by about 15:00 hrs

Alleppey, also known as Alappuzha, is located between the Arabian Sea and a web of rivers flowing into it. In the early 20th century, the then Viceroy of the Indian Empire, Lord Curzon was so mesmerized by the scenic beauty he declared that Alleppey was The Venice of the East.
